DECADENCE RESEARCH CENTRE (DRC)
Directed by Professor Jane Desmarais, the Decadence Research Centre (DRC) is based in the Departments of English and Creative Writing and Theatre and Performance of Goldsmiths, University of London. The DRC researchers explore the field of decadence in the broadest sense, from the perspective of various cultures and multiple disciplines, from antiquity to the present day. The DRC is home to the interdisciplinary online journal, Volupté: Interdisciplinary Journal of Decadence Studies, and the British Association of Decadence Studies (BADS), providing intellectual anchorage for an international community of scholars and a platform for events, international research collaborations, and funding bids.
INSTITUTE OF ANGLO-ITALIAN STUDIES – UNIVERSITY OF MALTA
Directed by Professor Gloria Lauri-Lucente, the Institute promotes research in the field of Anglo-Italian cultural relations, with special reference to literature and language. The Institute organizes international conferences, seminars and other events. It also publishes the Journal of Anglo-Italian Studies, which was founded in 1991 and is listed in the Modern Language Association DIrectory of Learned Journals.
BRITISH ASSOCIATION FOR VICTORIAN STUDIES (BAVS)
Founded in 2000, The British Association for Victorian Studies (BAVS) is a multidisciplinary organisation dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge about the Victorian period. It has over 600 members based in the UK and beyond, drawn both from the academic community and the general public. Our members have a wide range of interests in the nineteenth century, including art history, cultural studies, history, literary studies, performance studies and the history of science.
