Lia Giancristofaro

Lia Giancristofaro (1970), Ph.D., DEA, Professor in Cultural Anthropology at the University “G. D’Annunzio”, Chieti-Pescara. Her fields are the human and cultural rights, the ritual processes, the folkloric and popular cultures, the social transformations, the intangible cultural heritage, the NGOs as new policy makers. As a member of the Italian Society for Ethnographic Museum Studies and Heritage (SIMBDEA, Non-Governmental Organization Accredited to the UNESCO ICH Commission), she has observed several sessions of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, UNESCO. She has coordinated several projects in Cultural Heritage. She has been required as speaker in many television broadcast on RAI 1, RAI 2, RAI 3, TGR Abruzzo, TGR Molise, TGR Basilicata, RAI International, Rai Words, Marcopolo, and the Danish Television Dk4.
